Description
A joint effort by the European Commission and the Federation of European Motorcyclists' Associations, the European Motorcyclists' Forum is a platform for discussion on safety, mobility and the future of two-wheel transport in Europe. The Forum is an event open to all stakeholders interested in two-wheel mobility.
The latest figures for accidents and fatalities amongst riders are not improving in line with those of other road users. More needs to be done if we want to achieve the goal set up by the EU to half the number of fatalities by 2020 and to protect vulnerable road users, such as motorcyclists. This is why the Forum will focus on safety. Road safety is a responsibility of all road users; their involvement and awareness concerning safety is essential. The Forum provides an opportunity for the motorcycling community to exchange and discuss, together with stake-holders, experts and policy-makers. It will contribute to raise awareness, assess the problems and explore the solutions, so that the motorcyclists' views can be shared with policy makers.
