Security features
Special paper
- Location: Whole document
- Characteristics: White-coloured, free of optical brighteners, does not reflect ultraviolet (UV) light and sensitised to chemical and mechanical means of erasing or falsifying information on the document
- Method of verification: Viewing with the naked eye, a UV lamp and chemical examination of the film
Ultraviolet (UV) printing
- Location: Front of the document, below the bottom line of the certificate’s contour
- Characteristics: The text “ΔΕΛΤΙΟ ΤΕΧΝΙΚΟΥ ΕΛΕΓΧΟΥ ΙΔΙΩΤΙΚΟΥ ΚΤΕΟ” printed in ink that is invisible to the naked eye and appears in red under UV light. The text is in a stripe that extends across the whole width of and below the bottom line of the certificate. Nothing else should be printed in this stripe.

Photocopy-visible invisible ink
- Location: Front of the document, in the sub-table in the bottom part of the right column
- Characteristics: Printing in ink that is invisible to the naked eye, with the text “VOID” or “COPY” that appears in a photocopy of the document

Micro printing
- Location: Front of the document, bottom horizontal line of the certificate
- Characteristics: The repeated text “ΔΕΛΤΙΟΤΕΧΝΙΚΟΥΕΛΕΓΧΟΥ”

Colour-shifting ink
- Location: Front of the document, upper left corner
- Characteristics: The text “GR” printed in a special colour characterised with hue change (red-green, green-blue or golden-green)
- Method of verification: Naked eye, with light from top or oblique angle, tilting
Iridescent stripe
- Location: Front of the document, upper right section
- Characteristics: An iridescent stripe in a blank stripe along the bottom part of the sub-table in the upper right part of the document. The stripe extends across the whole width of the section and should not contain any printing.
- Method of verification: Viewing with the naked eye
Penetrating ink
- Location: Front and back of the document, bottom left (viewed from the front of the document)
- Characteristics: The certificate’s pre-printed serial number and letters printed in a security ink which enters the security paper so that the letters and number are visible from the front and back side of the sheet
