Main rules

Vehicle registration is managed by the traffic police departments of the Ministry of Interior district directorates. There are two parts to the registration certificate. Part I contains the vehicle identification data and certifies the owner’s right to the vehicle and must be carried by the driver when using the vehicle . Part II identifies the vehicle and must be carried by the driver of the vehicle in road traffic . A temporary certificate is also possible for vehicle drivers who have legal restrictions on movement or residence in the country for a specified period of time. This has only one part, containing information about the vehicle and its owner, the conditions for the use of the vehicle in road traffic and the period of validity. The registration number has the same format as a permanent registration. Transit plates are also possible.
